Steve Walsh
Steve Walsh will be forever revered as the player whose goals fired Leicester City back into the top flight of English football. Walsh scored twice in the 1994 Division One play-off final at Wembley to sink East Midland rivals Derby County and give Leicester City supporters Premier League football for the first time.
Walsh was adored by the Foxes faithful for his full-bloodied commitment, which is perfectly demonstrated by the way he battled back to fitness from an amazing 24 operations throughout his career! Known as one of the games ‘real hardmen’ Steve was the recipient of thirteen red-cards between October 1982 and November 2000, and also received a record 9 match ban for a 'confrontation' with Shrewsbury Town’s David Geddis.
